The Delicato pastry brand is a Swedish "fika" icon with epic products such as The Delicatobollen and Punchrullen. Fika (a coffee break including something sweet) is a holy moment for every Swede, a short break dedicated to indulgence. We wanted to embrace that moment of desire in the new visual identity and packaging concept for Delicato. A visual concept built on, for and of pastry. Pastry and powdery pastels, lust and witty tonality – showing the hero products in a sweet and dreamy universe. New iconic products - such as the Delicatolådan and the Delicato Christmas calendar - was born out of the new concept. Happy fika everyone!
In 2022, Delicato decided to cut back on the use of plastic in their packaging. Instead of having a plastic window on the front, the packaging was made entirely of paper. A change that enabled them to reduce their plastic use by approximately 15 tons per year.
Delicato has during the years developed a couple of seasonal products where the Christmas season product line is the largest with the very famous Delicato-asken and mini-pastry advent calendar just to mention a few. In addition to that, Delicato have also produced something sweet for the christmas tree. They made their top 3 best sellers, Delicatoboll, Mazarin and Punchrulle into christmas balls.
