Most people see offshore wind farms only as energy producers and worry about their impact on marine ecosystems. To change this perception, Vattenfall wanted to show that wind farms can also support marine life and sustainable food production. By creating a seaweed snack, they made the concept of multi-use wind farms tangible and relatable, helping to shift public perception.
We created both the campaign site and the packaging design. In doing so, we pushed the limits of how the Vattenfall brand could be expressed, exploring new visual directions while still keeping it instantly recognizable. The result was a fresh take on the brand that told the story of seaweed grown between offshore wind farms in a way that felt both innovative and true to Vattenfall.
The design keeps Vattenfall recognizable but adds snack-worthy energy. Wind turbines peek above the waves, seaweed sways below, and the whole scene makes sustainable food feel fun and approachable.
